Morar Fora: Global support network for Brazilians abroad

Challenge

Living abroad brings administrative questions, isolation, and cultural adaptation challenges that are hard to solve alone. There was a need for a practical, reliable space where Brazilians who had already gone through the process could share real experiences and offer immediate support. It was also necessary to make it easy for diverse profiles (students, nomads, families, entrepreneurs) to meet without barriers to access or cost.

Solution

We built the community’s digital presence with a website offering free, immediate registration that centralizes entry and information for new members. The platform connects registrants to an exclusive WhatsApp group for direct 24/7 communication and provides access to a collaborative knowledge base with practical guides created by the community itself. Navigation is organized by profiles (students, digital nomads, entrepreneurs, families, retirees) and includes a support channel for questions and follow-up.

Results

The community began providing real-time support and networking among Brazilians in multiple countries, delivering quick answers on visas, housing, diploma recognition, and cultural adjustment. The collaborative knowledge base and workshops organized by members became practical sources of guidance. The initiative kept free access and grew organically, facilitating in-person meetups and strengthening ties among Brazilians abroad.
